Unfortunately, provincial health plans do not cover the cost of orthotic devices even though they are medically necessary and act
to prevent future foot problems as well.
Most extended health group insurance plans do cover orthotics either partially or fully. The cost is a reflection of the biomechanical
examination and gait analysis, casting procedure, fabrication and follow-up adjustment visits.
